With all the hype surrounding PC Satellite TV, a lot of it simplistic and untrue, it's great to see this awesome new breakthrough Satellite TV system. The developers have really out-done themselves with this brand new killer program.
The new interface is ultra easy to use for anyone and the picture and sound are stunning. Also the channel load times are much faster than before …very cool indeed!

All I can say is "WOW" this new Satellite TV for PC software is a major improvement over the two previous systems I have used. What I love about this new software is the excellent selection of Satellite TV channels and the vastly improved user interface that has an extremely user friendly and professional look and feel now…I would highly recommend this to anyone! |

I have to say I love this new Satellite TV for PC system, as a full time student I don't have the money to pay for normal Satellite TV subscription, so being able to get my hands on over 3000 Satellite channels so cheap is awesome. |

For anyone contemplating Satellite TV or even if you already have a subscription, I strongly suggest you take a look at this impressive Satellite TV on PC program, it really delivers on so many levels that I would have paid 3 times more for it. I travel a lot and now I can take hundreds of Satellite channels with me anywhere I go! |

Is Internet TV Illegal?
I spotted this article a few days ago and the gist of it is a2btv is trying to offer the Directv feed over your broadband and using the Slingbox, deliver Satellite TV to any computer or cell phone in your home.
They'll use Slingboxes and DirecTV accounts to help people watch DirecTV via any internet connection. From the article, it sounds like neither DirecTV or Slingbox is happy about this, and there's talk about TOS violations and such. However, it's not entirely clear why this is a problem. Everyone who should be getting paid still is getting paid. Each customer has to buy their own DirecTV account — it's just that it's installed at this company's offices, rather than at their own home. Since you need to have a separate Slingbox for each account, the company is still buying the Slingboxes. So, both DirecTV and Sling Media get their cut. The company then charges a $99/month service fee, which is pretty steep considering that the person also has to pay for a DirecTV account on top of that. Really this is only useful for people who have internet connections, want the programming that's available on DirecTV, but for some reason cannot get DirecTV — which might not be a huge market. However, it's hard to see why that should be considered a problem for any of the companies involved. This service is simply reselling their offerings, bringing it to markets that otherwise wouldn't get served.
Interesting option to get pay tv on your computer, I mean why would you bother going to all that trouble and still have to pay $99 plus per month! Don't do it, not when you can get great Internet TV services on your computer for less than the $99 per month fee and it is only a ONE OFF FEE, then you are free from all the crazy Directv or Satellite TV monthly fees!
Oliver at free satellite pc has just updated their internet TV software, so I highly recommend you take a look at the new program, it is a great product.

Satellite TV PC - How Good is The Quality?
That's a great question, and one that many readers are asking about Satellite TV PC…just how good is the quality?
Well the quality of your Satellite TV PC depends on the rate at which video streams are transmitted. This quality is measured by the same units measuring how broad you internet connection is: Kb/Sec.
Most video streams are transmitted at a quality of between 100 Kb/Sec and 400 Kb/sec, so if your connection is somewhere around 750 Kbs there is no need to rush off and pay for a faster or broader connection package. 400 Kb/sec is more or less the rate at which it is possible to watch the Satellite TV PC video stream on a full screen in reasonable quality. For quality lesser than that, the size of the media player's window has to be reduced, in other words you may have to watch the picture at 1/3 your screen size rather than full screen.
While this method might be a good alternative to the good old TV set, there are still some problems associated with it. Namely overloaded servers trying to serve up 1000's of connections to all the hungry Satellite TV PC fans out there, don't worry though there a few Satellite TV for PC systems out there that balance out their server loads and make sure they keep ahead of the demands.
